+1335 Pips This Week

Best Forex SignalsWe are right now sitting at +1335 pips for the week. Don’t know if that is good enough for you but it is surely for me. Yesterday we had EURJPY. EURUSD and CADJPY that reached +300, +240 and +240 pips respectively, along with GBPJPY which got closed out at +285 Pips.

We have caught the big move of the week and from my experience it is less likely that we will see another similar move this week. I would still give out signals as usual but I won’t trade on my personal account. That is purely because of psychological reasons. After a good win we tend to take extra risk and in turn lose the profits only to go back to square one.

Right now I am waiting for market to make bigger pull back before looking at any trades. I’ll keep you posted as we go along.

Update at 5PM EST / 10 PM GMT / 0000 Hour Candle:

Order ID: 7 | Update | $GBPJPY Sell 140.30 | Second Profit Target Reached at +140 Pips Earlier | Currently at +120
Order ID: 8 | Update | $EURJPY Sell 123.65 | Third Profit Target Reached at +150 Pips Earlier
Order ID: 9 | Update | $EURUSD Sell 1.3615 | Third Profit Target Reached at +120
Order ID: 10 | Update | $CADJPY Sell 87.15 | Third Profit Target Reached at +120 Pips Earlier

Update at 9PM EST / 2 AM GMT / 0400 Hour Candle:

Order ID: 7 | Update | $GBPJPY Sell 140.30 | Second Profit Target Reached at +140 Pips Earlier | Move Stop Loss to 139.55
Order ID: 8 | Update | $EURJPY Sell 123.65 | Third Profit Target Reached at +150 Pips Earlier | Total +300 Pips
Order ID: 9 | Update | $EURUSD Sell 1.3615 | Third Profit Target Reached at +120 Earlier | Total +240 Pips
Order ID: 10 | Update | $CADJPY Sell 87.15 | Third Profit Target Reached at +120 Pips Earlier | Total +240 Pips

Update at 1AM EST / 6 AM GMT / 0800 Hour Candle:

Order ID: 7 | Update | $GBPJPY Sell 140.30 | Second Profit Target Reached at +140 Pips Earlier | Rest Closed out at +75 Pips

As you already know the we are sitting at +1335 pips for the week. At this stage I am not trading any new signals on my personal account. Though I promised to keep providing new signals as they come. I was hoping to see a  better pullback on most pairs, instead we see sideways movement. In my opinion EURUSD and GBPUSD has room for move further down but I can’t see any confirmation, hence there are no official signals at this stage.

  2. Bails 24 February 2010 at 6:55 am #

Last night was the first time i used the signals and i'm impressed!! obviously i know enough to know that the key to forex is success over time but hey it was still a great night!

I used the EA on my 5 digit broker and simply added a '0' to each of the pip settings but i'm still not sure it worked correctly as all of the trades were closed out at the third profit target rather than being closed out in parts?

Also, is there any plans for you to try to educate the people here about how/why you pick the entries that you do? whilst i greatly appreciate the tips i'd like it even more if i could understand the how and why so that one day I could find them myself.

Thanx for everything, keep up the good work!

I am working on it…will keep you posted.

  3. Donovan 24 February 2010 at 7:06 am #

Good day all. Im new to firepips. started look recently. I would just like to know if there is a better tutorial on how to read the signals. for example it says

    Order ID: 9 | Order Cancels Order | $EURUSD Sell 1.3615 or Buy 1.3700 | Stop Loss: 85 Pips | Take Profit: 40-80-120 Pips

does that mean we are not at thosse levels and if im doing this manualy must i create an order to sell at 3615 and then a buy at 1.3700. then which ever one hits first i cancell the other one. am i on the right track.

    Nice Work Fire!!

  5. Prakash 24 February 2010 at 7:16 am #

    Hi,

Very good going. Can you consider sending the signals directly to our trading account.

Zulutrade is an example of such thing.

    • FirePips 24 February 2010 at 7:40 am #

It is great idea, though it makes me think how much extra work it would involve. To be frank, there is a lot that happens at the time of signals. It takes time to write up signals, then send them via email, TW and FB, update blog etc.
Plus I trade on my accounts at the same time. Adding anything extra would cause delays and make my life harder specially the signals that occur early in the morning.

    • liaueg 24 February 2010 at 10:18 am #

Hi Prakash, I am working on such EA.
In short, whenever, Firepips give out his signal, as long as there is someone who can update the docuement (think shouldn't be a problem as I believe FP support span across most timezone) in the central database (actually, it's only google document), the EA would grab the new signal and even adjustment to the signal and make new order or adjust current order. Testing so far is good though. Doing things as it ought to be. Only challenge now is that I am the only one updating the files and I am late in a lot of signal as either I am sleeping or I am out working.

      • Youssef 24 February 2010 at 3:12 pm #

        Hi liaueg,

I am also working on such an Ea, but, I think Rss will be better for this ;) So no file uploading. Its going to be very easy, check out here: http://articles.mql4.com/389

        Greetings from Germany

        • liaueg 24 February 2010 at 7:48 pm #

          That will be great.
However, I will still be developing and testing my EA as a stopgap measure until yours is available :)

      • FirePips 24 February 2010 at 10:27 am #

Good work Liaueg…let us know how you go :)

  6. Robin 24 February 2010 at 7:19 am #

Looks like I picked an amazing week to start checking out your signals ! I'm trying to wean myself off choppy 15 minute chart trading and concentrate on price action on 4 hour bars, so I'll be watching and learning. Thank you.

Welcome aboard. Let me know if you have any questions :)

        Hi,
what kind of platform you use?
        …Metatrade 4 ?

  7. okey 24 February 2010 at 7:40 am #

hello fire pips can you pls help me on this situation, is it better to open a trade seperatly on 1 lot per pairs or to open it with 3 lots and close accordingly?

    • FirePips 24 February 2010 at 7:45 am #

If you risk % doesn't allow you to trade 3 lots per trade then you can try using 1 lot. I've not tested 1 lot strategy through enough.

  8. murat 24 February 2010 at 8:05 am #

very good start of a week. yesterday I took the signals and the pips and I thank you for that.

Anyway we must say that yesterday calls was very very risky, with huge stoploss, especially GBPJPY, so I took them with half of the usual stake.
Steady but happy, happy but steady.

    p.s.
this just to say that the pure pip result is in some way misleading. it depends of the risk of the single trade. 200 pips on GBPJPY are not (and must have not be) 200 pips on EURUSD or CADJPY

    • FirePips 24 February 2010 at 8:09 am #

I see your point Murat. What alternative method would you suggest?

      • murat 24 February 2010 at 8:37 am #

I think you are doing a lot, really! you must be more than human to manage blog/twitter/facebook/mail all togheter every 4 hour. Amazing.

The best way is to open a demo or real account that fits with this site http://www.mt4stats.com/

anyway I think is a lot of work , you can not do it by your self, you need a trusted guy which trade exactly as per your calls etc….

        …just brainstorming ;)

        • FirePips 24 February 2010 at 10:32 am #

Mt4Stat looks good, only problem is I don't trade on MT4. They support MB Trading, I do like them but haven't traded with them in some time.

  9. Onyebuchim 24 February 2010 at 7:07 pm #

    Hi fire,

I seem to observe the deviation in success levels comparing the EA to the manual trading of your signals.

I found out that the manual way seems to aid increase in Profits when compared to the EA.

Probably its bcos its easier to adjust the settings manually than hoping on the EA to that automatically.

I got a lot of trades hitting the stop loss with the EA. and my performance figures using the EA is quite minimal to the manual figures you posted.

Anyway i’m still following on and hoping for the best.

    • FirePips 24 February 2010 at 8:12 am #

As you already know that EA is work in progress. I hope you are testing it in Demo account.

If you specific examples where it failed then try posting them, perhaps it will help DeitPipsi to locate coding errors if any.

  10. Kev 24 February 2010 at 9:30 am #

Hi FirePips – How long have you been doing your system? Whats the win %, max DD, max DD % ? Thanks

  11. Youssef 24 February 2010 at 9:38 am #

    Hi Firepips,
As you already provide your signals on Twitter, you could add an Automatic RSS Feed EA for the people, so the orders will be copied automatically on their accounts,
all the Steps are here: http://articles.mql4.com/389
I could help with Programming it, tell me if you are interested, the important thing is to use the same syntax every time.
    Greetings from Germany

    • FirePips 25 February 2010 at 2:23 am #

It is a good idea. I do keep the syntax same most of the time. Let me know if you have a sample code we can test.

  12. richard 24 February 2010 at 10:16 am #

yh I kind of agree about teaching us how to trade instead of just saying do this because lets face it one of these days your signal service will not be available and then what would the people do who are receiving your service I guess they would go back to losing money? the only thing though if you did teach us your system you would have to go into it in a lot of detail because there is so many traders here at so many different levels.

    • FirePips 24 February 2010 at 10:35 am #

You are right. As I said earlier in other comment that let me think about it. I'll let you know…

  13. richard 24 February 2010 at 10:16 am #

also the thing about Zulu trade if im right I think it might be the way to go because you wouldn’t have to write them on twitter and facebook and email the signals because they will automatically be done through Zulu trade there would be no need to send the signals to anyone and all you would have to do on your blog is update with performance of the signals through Zulu and a bit of forex chat and ideas and so on I wouldn’t see any point in sending signals to all those places like twitter and so on when they automatically get processed on there account through Zulu trade instead of writing signals and sending them of to all different place just do one place where everyone here will receive the signals automatically straight into there account I think it makes sense to me just my thoughts I think you should do it will solve the hole e.a thing lol

    • FirePips 24 February 2010 at 10:42 am #

Lets say we decide to go for such a solution, we then need to choose between Zulutrade, Collective2 , Rentasignal etc.

My major concern is their platform, it could be unstable and more importantly super-wide spreads that they have. Plus not everyone would use the brokers they support and then I'll end up sending signals the regular way as well.

      • richard 24 February 2010 at 11:05 am #

well to behonest i would go with zulutrade everything on there is free for you and for us and to me the seem the most reputable company out of all of them also i dont think that there platform would be unstable due to the amount of traders they have on there already there is someone one there with over 3000 suscribers under his belt and he recieves half a pip per lot traded on each persons account and i dont think it matters if its demo or not so really you would be earning more aswell beacuse you get that extra half a pip and depending on ow many sucribers you get that could be more than what your earn from your trading alone but obviously i dont no how much you earn and so on and with the whole broker thing they have most of the ecn brokers on there and plety of others so i dont think that would be to much of a problem :)

        • richard 24 February 2010 at 11:07 am #

seriously think about it i think it solves many many problems and truly belive its more effecient and you open your self up to many more people intrested in signals and trading and so on

          • richard 24 February 2010 at 12:06 pm #

oh and also about your issue with the spreads i belive the spreads are the same spread that it would be on and individual trading account so what ever the suscribers spread is on there broker its exactly the same not some zulu trade spread or anything like that basically its exaclty the same as if i put the trade in my self except its done automatically throught zulu trade so it solves the issue of the e.a (no offence dietpipsi) and you get some money thrown your way for your time and effort and there would be no need to type signals out for the blog or emails or facebook or twitter wich saves you a lot of time :) see it all works out fine you can only try and its for free so no loss for anybody :)

          • FirePips 25 February 2010 at 2:25 am #

As other have mentioned it will open new can of worms and the whole process would get messy.

I do understand the advantages but making half a pip is not what drives me.

          • richard 25 February 2010 at 2:40 am #

            its up to you :)

          • douglas 25 February 2010 at 10:56 pm #

Everyone should forget Zulutrade until their "trader" or "signal provider" functionality is updated. They do not have OCO and not to mention their connectivity and broker price mismatches…

Also, if you plan on running your own EA for Firepips, be aware the zulutrade user cannot open and close along with the EA…just one trade at a time. I tested the EA as a provider, the trades show closed as 3 separate trades (opened at the same) but only one trade opened in my account.

          • FirePips 26 February 2010 at 12:01 am #

Thanks for the info Douglas…you made my decision easier :)

  14. Sam 24 February 2010 at 10:42 am #

I actually think that you would gain a lot more followers if you gave details of how/why/what your system is. Yes, they could perhaps say "I don't need firepips now", but I believe they are more likely to continue to work with you to confirm their entries.

    just my 2 pips worth.

    • FirePips 25 February 2010 at 2:26 am #

Perhaps you are right. Put yourself in my shoes and tell me if there is an easy answer for it.

      • Sam 27 February 2010 at 4:16 pm #

Why is it a difficult decision to make?

  15. Arnold 24 February 2010 at 9:50 pm #

Good work Fire pips, i respect your kind o personality, keep it up may the Almighty God streghteenu. Arnold

    • FirePips 25 February 2010 at 2:27 am #

      Thanks Arnold…appreciate your comments.

  16. gao 24 February 2010 at 12:25 pm #

I see you count the pips of each of the 3 lots put on the trade. for CADJPY for instance that is +40 +80 +120 so that equals +240 pips. The stoploss was -55 pips, so if the stoploss is hit do you count this as -55 x 3 or -115 pips? – thanks

    • FirePips 24 February 2010 at 12:58 pm #

Thats right… Stop Loss is counted the same way.

  17. manfred 24 February 2010 at 1:22 pm #

    Hi,
what kind of platform you use?
    …Metatrade 4 ?

    • FirePips 25 February 2010 at 2:28 am #

I use Tradestation and FXCM Active Trader. I've also used Dukascopy and MB Trading in the past.

  18. smarttiga 24 February 2010 at 1:36 pm #

thanks Sir Firepips, you make worthwhile to us

  19. Trevor 24 February 2010 at 7:27 pm #

Way to Go Firepips! Great week!

  20. Kevin 24 February 2010 at 10:23 pm #

I gotta say this was a great week. I too am curious about the trading system (only because I would see how much of it I could automate). I am having my own success but I also see potential in having several different trading methods. I typically trade when the market is overbought or undersold (as FP said market is sideways so it doesn't matter today anyway). I would like to gain an understanding but if I were FP I wouldn't give out the exact details for one particular reason. It took time, energy or very wise study or conversation to come up with this system. That time and energy and investment of actually providing signals for everybody is time consuming and takes alot of time that could be better utilized elsewhere. For that reason I would say keep the system to yourself or the people that have contributed to making it better.

    Just my 2 Pips also!

    • FirePips 25 February 2010 at 2:39 am #

      Hi Kevin,

I am so glad to hear your thoughts. It took me years and countless hours to get where I am. Forex market is full of hype and false promises, to find one good strategy can take years and then to master it along with developing right mindset is yet another challenge.

      Thanks for your comment !

  21. Newbie 24 February 2010 at 10:24 pm #

Can i know what ECN Broker that you are using?

    • FirePips 25 February 2010 at 2:40 am #

I've personally traded with Tradestation, Dukascopy, MBT Trading and FXCM Active Trader….never had any problem with them.

hi, do you see a long term downtrend for gbp/jpy?
i have funds in USD, i live in New Zealand – do you see a drop in the Kiwi dollar as well?
thanks for your signals as well – i give my donation to SPCA (animals)

    • FirePips 25 February 2010 at 2:42 am #

First of all Nz is awesome…specially the South Island :)

I haven't been studying NZD so can't comment. I am more of a swing trader than a position trader. Haven't mastered that yet :)

  23. richard 24 February 2010 at 10:29 pm #

hi fire pips have you been thinking about my zulutrade option yet i replied back to some of your concerns earlier but still no reply i really do reckon it would be more benificial for you and us if you did go on zulu trade

    • FirePips 25 February 2010 at 2:43 am #

Replied now…check back your original comment.

  24. Carson 25 February 2010 at 9:30 am #

I know people like to pressure you to talk about how you decide to trade the way you do and others want you to sign up on zulutrade or what not but honestly I think you are doing more than enough as is. No matter what you do there will be people wanting more and more to make their lives easier. I think everyone should just chill and take this for what it is: FREE PIPS! and a lot of them.

Seriously…if you can’t trade the e-mails that are sent out I don’t think you should be trading.

    • richard 24 February 2010 at 10:57 pm #

i do relise these are free pips and i have said many many times that i think what fire pips does it amazing i truly do 1300+ pips in a week!!!! WOW !!!! all im saying is that there are still isuses with the way things are done like people not understanding the signals the spread differences not being able to trade due to other commitments or your time zone that your in alos the e.a issues like it not closing trades and so on and also fire pips dutyy to wright up emails and send twitters and facebook and also this blog so i just thought that if firepips did his pip master thing on a platform where we all get the signals directly to are account then it solves all the issuse outlined above andfirepis gets a bit of the peice of the pie from are trading as well so this is why im recommeding trading on zulu trade i still belive this is the smartest option oh by the way i would just like to say thank you fire pips this week infact since ive been following you your amazing :)

      • Carson 25 February 2010 at 10:25 am #

The problem is that you think that everyone will be able to get this setup correctly. If people can’t even figure out the orders in the e-mails, do you think they will be able to figure out setting up zulutrade or rent-a-signal? Doubt it. Then instead of focusing on putting out great trading calls he is going to be bombarded with issues about how to set those things up.

        • richard 24 February 2010 at 11:35 pm #

yh i see your point im not so sure though because setting up zulu trade is not his problem they have an f.a.q. and a support and there are sooo many people recieveing signals this ways that im sure it cant be that difficult im really not trying to make people do anything i for one dont have many problems trading the signals via my email ive even got some of my own signals wich im thinking about sending out im just trying to reduce fire pips time on certain things and just make the whole process easyier for somebody else if not all of us it dosnt affect me if fire pips dont decide to trade on zulu im just try to help people and solve the problems wich i can see im a giver lol not a taker

          • FirePips 25 February 2010 at 2:51 am #

Richard, I doubt it is going to be much help .

How about this…you can open up account with them and use my signals to send out to everyone?

          • richard 25 February 2010 at 2:58 am #

im really not that fussed about it i was just saying thats all just and idea you did say if anyone has any ways they think can improve on somehing then say so ……. so i did lol dont worry its all cool :)

          • @declanor 25 February 2010 at 7:06 am #

            dont change a thing firepips!

    • FirePips 25 February 2010 at 2:47 am #

Carson, I agree with you mate. It only going to create more overhead for me. Plus what else is there for others to do if I place the trades for them.

    • nzforextrader 26 February 2010 at 1:00 am #

      Hi Carson,
Well said. I personally am demo trading and not doing any good at that, as yet. But I am happy to receive what I ever I can, and appreciate what FP's is providing. The folks who want more and more so they themselves can have an easier time, are only going to cause us all to miss out, in the end. So my plea to the few that demand more and more, for no effort on their own part, "just chill out and be happy!!"

  25. kev 24 February 2010 at 11:00 pm #

    I will second that Carson!

  26. richard 24 February 2010 at 11:13 pm #

also i just thought because zulutrade is free if things do go wrong then there isnt that commitment of paying for the service monthly whereas say we went for a site where you pay for signals and it went wrong on someones account then he/she could of loss money due to the trade going wrong but also he/she has paid money for the service that also hasnt delivered so zulutrade is much safer on the risk side of things :)

  27. SMM 24 February 2010 at 11:14 pm #

Great trading Firepips! As a veteran trader, I recommend against automation with any EA or Zulu, C2 or anything like that. Trading is hard work… very hard work. Automating will diminish your efforts to an unappreciated level. You know in this business, you are only as good as your last trade. Please keep doing as you are doing… and if traders want to be successful, then let them put forward a tiny effort at least. However, I would love you to eventually provide some training. Until then, would it be possible to include a brief narrative with an occasional trade here and there as to what you are seeing? Spoon feeding us with bits of knowledge over time is ideal and allows you to control what info is handed out and at what pace. Thanks again for your contributions. You are definitely at the top of my hero list.

    • FirePips 25 February 2010 at 2:56 am #

I can't agree more. It takes a lot of hard work and people fail to realize what it takes to create a successful system. If they can only go through the same journey as us they would perhaps appreciate more.

    • Adrian 25 February 2010 at 8:34 am #

Totally agree with SMM, you have to put in some work yourself. Firepips is doing an excellent job as it is, dont change a thing!

    • Jenni 25 February 2010 at 1:34 pm #

I also agree. Trading is not easy, there is a lot to learn. Your system is a big help and I really appreciate your hard work. Don't automate, don't make it too easy for people. They won't value for efforts then.
      A big thanks from me.

  28. david 25 February 2010 at 12:43 am #

zulutrade sucks, too confusing because of the way it works.
I prefer firepips to keep providing us signals the way he does it right now…
You only have to check it every 4 hours
plus it helps you to learn as well

    • Farhan 25 February 2010 at 7:24 am #

David I'm total agree with your comment.

We should not make thing complicated, messy.

I more comfortable getting the signal after every 4 hours and operate it manually.

  29. Cirion 25 February 2010 at 2:13 am #

    Hey Firepips,

Am i blind or did you not post your big loss week (either last week or the one before)
From very rough counting it was around -700 (x3lots = -2100)
A URL would be great if you did post this
    Cheers
    Cirion

    • FirePips 25 February 2010 at 2:20 am #

It wasn't as bad as you may think. I'll post detailed report at the end of the month as usual.

    • Diet Pipsi 25 February 2010 at 8:31 am #

My count for February so far is

      Week 1: +431
      Week 2: -1774
      Week 3: +330
      Week 4: +1335

      Total for the month-to-date: +322

In one post Firepips said he was not figuring it out at that moment for psychological reasons. Which I guess goes to show that proper mental state must always be worked on. But since it still comes out to a positive month at this point, I don't think there's any problem with posting it.

And true +322 is not a remarkable month. But it is a positive month, just the same, and I'd sure rather have an ugly week in a month that still comes out positive, to any amount!

      • Cirion 25 February 2010 at 9:18 am #

Thanks for clearing that up was wondering why all the positive pip releases and no negative ones. Thanks again for clearing that up

        Cirion

Sure…as long as you don't hijack the thread and no links please :)

  32. richard 25 February 2010 at 3:08 am #

no i wouldnt link anything i would just say buy gbp/usd at ?.????? stop loss at ?.????? profit target 1 ?.????? profit target 2 ?.????? so to do this is okay mainly im thinking what do you think about the signals if i did them because you seem to know your stuff also i open two trades at the same time and then when the first trade hit the first take profit i would move the stop loss on the second trade to break even or plus 10 pips so you sure you cool with it ? would you give me some advice sometimes if you think i would need it on the signals?

    • FirePips 25 February 2010 at 3:16 am #

That should not be a problem.

  33. Donovan 25 February 2010 at 2:14 pm #

The Popup will show again on different PC and different browsers.

Try using one PC and one browser. It should stop popping up after you have visited 2 pages. Let me know.

          • Donovan 25 February 2010 at 2:47 pm #

I have just pushed F5 3 times from this laptop and it showed all 3 times. Am i the only one having this problem or is there more ppl. Even though i hate this box i will still keep comming here though.

            Here no problem, too

            , Radi0man

    • FirePips 26 February 2010 at 1:44 am #

I was chatting with Rich on the email and he was able to fix the problem by changing his cookie setting.

His firefox was set to accept cookies until they expire, by changing it to until firefox closes fixed the problem.

  34. Prakash 25 February 2010 at 5:03 am #

I think, we can go with RSS feed and an EA to pick the trade from that RSS url and trade in our account. So there is no dependency on any sites like Zulutrade or Rentasignal etc…

But only thing is the syntax should be same everytime…

  35. Farhan 25 February 2010 at 8:34 am #

euro/usd luk like will touch 1.3385 today or on friday.

  36. benoît 25 February 2010 at 9:29 am #

Hi firepips first thanks a lot for sharing order :)
    It’s really great :)
    I have done 2 programs
    - one is to create oco orders (6 or 3 orders) in just the time to fill the buy, sell price, SL,TP1,2,3
    - Other one is to delete all the oco orders for the current currency or for all currency
    - I will try to make an another one to delete the pending order for a currency when the half is filled (open) and also to move the SL when TP1 or 2 is reach, according your tactic

Then I don't know if you are interesting? But if yes may be you can add on this web site an area for tool like that?

  37. benoît 25 February 2010 at 9:29 am #

But whatever if you are interesting (or other people) I can send that, just tell me how I have to process to send attached documents (else I can put here the code, but will be a little longer)
It up to you ;) , it’s just a little way for me to bring my little stone, the only stone I can bring because if you trust on me to give excellent signals like you…it will be more lol ;)
Except if you take reverse of my advices…lol (can work very well)
all the best firepips and don't forget if one day you want to share also the way you create orders, don't hesited I think we will be a lot to thanks you for that and also it will be may be the possibility to provide like you good signals but on other time frame, for people who want to trade more and more.
    Good day, all the best
    Regards
    Benoît

    • FirePips 25 February 2010 at 9:37 am #

Thanks Benoit, You can email it to me and I'll attach to a new post (admin@firepips.com)

I may create a new section for such things in the future, for now we keep it the way it is.

  38. Kev 25 February 2010 at 2:18 pm #

Dear Firepips- Can we stop getting twitts each time some one else comments? I think we really need only twitts from Firepips on trades and his market conditionreports. There are so many people commenting here that is causing way too many twitts. This is too much. Please be kind to fix it.

    • FirePips 25 February 2010 at 2:42 pm #

Sure, I'll have it fixed soon. Sorry about the mess.

      • FirePips 25 February 2010 at 2:50 pm #

Alright…sorted. It should be fine now.

  39. FXKarim 25 February 2010 at 4:14 pm #

thx a lot for that, fire :-)

  40. Adrian 25 February 2010 at 8:15 pm #

Thanks for that it will make reading of Twitter much easier and for those like myself that receive them via SMS my phone will be much quieter!!

  41. choud2403 25 February 2010 at 8:20 pm #

How to find a trading signal? I subcribed yesterday but haven't received any signal yet. Did you sent out any signal? How to locate them. I can see time and update time and order id number but don't know which one is for Feb 25th. I can only see Feb 24th. Please help.

  42. Adrian 25 February 2010 at 9:10 pm #

Choud, Firepips has had such a good week this week that he doesnt want to "overtrade" so he has finished with signals for this week.
Start again now Mon open, be patient its a system that works very well.

    • choud2403 25 February 2010 at 9:21 pm #

Thanks Adrian. I wasn't sure about that. I thought he sent out signals but I didn't get any. It's good to know that firepips analyse his trade before entry. Not like other to jump any trade and can't sit on the hand.
Good luck to firepips and his subscribers.

  43. choud2403 26 February 2010 at 3:06 am #

    hi firepip,
All blog has last message showing at the top and the oldest message at the bottom. Why here it's opposite. Is there any way you can fix this where new message will show at the top and the old ones at the bottom. So, we don't have to scroll down at the bottom to see the newest message.

    • FirePips 26 February 2010 at 3:59 am #

Is it really? I thought most blogs have new comments at the bottom. What do other think?

You can also click on Sort by "Last Activity" right before the first comment. I can make that as a default option if others also feel that it is a better way.

      • Diet Pipsi 1 March 2010 at 4:26 am #

I have no issue with whether it's newest at the top or newest at the bottom, but one thing Twitter does that drives me nuts is instead of just giving the date and time of each post, it simply says "About 4 hours ago" or "About 57 minutes ago" or something like that. I have not bothered to check, so if you can set Twitter to just tell the exact date and time of each post, then it's my own problem for not checking into it.

However, if you know a way to make Twitter just display the exact date and time of each post (or if anyone else does) I'd appreciate the info on how to do that.

        Thanks!

  44. MSS 26 February 2010 at 3:43 pm #

Hello from HK- Further to SMM's comments – Would appreciate if you can put some comments on why a particular trade is suggested. Totally agree with SMM, no automation can replace hardwork. A notebook and pen should suffice. Better to focus the energy on some backtesting strategies and share. Rest up FP, we need you back in action on Monday. Thank you for all your hardwork, keep it up //Cheers

    • FirePips 26 February 2010 at 11:40 am #

Yeah…I need to work out a more balance approach. I am not ready to give away everything yet but I think bit more insight into the trades won't hurt.

  45. ross 26 February 2010 at 5:39 am #

FIREPIPS, I have seen some software that takes your trade from metatrader and posts it to twitter – that might save you some time…

    • FirePips 26 February 2010 at 11:37 am #

Thanks Ross, the only problem is that I don't use MT4.

      • ross 27 February 2010 at 4:57 am #

ok – thanks for the reply – there may be a way to take the twitter messages make the trades on MT4 if you are interested in that…

  46. Adomas 26 February 2010 at 8:07 am #

Hey. I'm new to this and I'll start following firepips next week with small lots. Less then 1% risk. I've read all comments and this is what I can tell:__1. Novice traders, please follow firepips with demos. And only after 1-3 months start with real money. If you do not know what you do and blindly follow, you will burn your account.__2. Do not think that this is a holy grail and you'll grow you $1000 acount to $1000000 per year. Nothing is achieved so easily.__3. Do not ask for a trade automation. It will keep you out of trading process. So put in this at least some of your time.__4. When you make trades, learn. And someday start your own strategy. Become independent.
    5. To make your own strategy takes 6-12 even more months. And only after 1 year testing you can tell that it works. One week with impressive gain doesn't mean, that next one will be the same. It can be just luck.

Interesting statistics Massimo. I'll make few changes this week based on this report.

  49. Louie 28 February 2010 at 3:04 am #

    Hello FirePips,

I only started to have a live trade a month ago and my $75 in FXCM micro account reduced to $44. Is it okay to trade your signals with this small amount of capital? I can afford to lose this anyway. Or should I deposit more? Thanks..

    • FirePips 1 March 2010 at 2:29 am #

As KusniAgos mentioned below, try trading demo first. You would then able to work it out how much funds you really need.

      • Louie 1 March 2010 at 4:36 pm #

        okay. thanks FirePips and KusniAgos.

  50. KusniAgos 28 February 2010 at 10:17 pm #

    Hi Louie,

In my opinion, you better trade using demo as that amount for a 3% loss in Money management can't be translated into a trading position. At least if you have US$500, 3% loss would be around us$15, so $0.10 per pip for 3 lots is around $0.30 and the stoploss can be set at -50 pips. This is more realistic. This only take into account only for 1 currency trading. Happy returns.

  51. @FXunderground 3 March 2010 at 9:45 am #

    Very nice signals, thx

  52. oculaw 18 March 2010 at 6:12 pm #

Hi Firepips. Are the results you are showing the NET pips? That is the winners less the loosers?

  53. oculaw 18 March 2010 at 6:17 pm #

Firepips. It looks like you are trading off an 8 hour time frame. What software are you using? Doesn't look like anything related to MT4.

    • FirePips 18 March 2010 at 11:14 pm #

I use TradeStation for charting…you can easily set charts for any time frame.

Hi, Even I am looking for something like that. have u made any thing like that if yes could u send me so that i can test it.

  56. @tradingtrends 28 September 2010 at 10:23 pm #

Hello, i just subscribed to your signals. Lets get some pips :)

  57. Ana Maria 26 September 2011 at 11:27 pm #

Hello Fire Pips!! Thank you for the detailed info. Can you kindly advise on the following. I have my account set up and set at custom settings generally using medium-risk settings, with $1500 deposited in the account (trading mini lots of course) following only 1 or 2 handpicked successful providers. The best one can expect is as the best follower listed did 932% / 14 weeks. Thats 17% profit per week. How much more can one expect to gain the fist week?

  58. richard 24 February 2010 at 11:07 pm #

im sorry betsy just cant afford to pay 79$ a month to this is why i still think zulu trade is the way to go because its free fore everybody and fire pips still gets paid some money for his time wich in my opinion will be reduced due to not having to explain how to trade the spread difference updates on twitter or face book and so on

  59. FirePips 25 February 2010 at 2:51 pm #

Sorry about that guys. Don't know what I was thinking. It is should be all good now :)

  60. Radi0man 25 February 2010 at 12:34 pm #

    Here the same :(

I would love to read by Twitter-Account -only- the postings from FirePips and not a Twitter-feed at each posting here from us …

I manage my Twitter-Account with Mozilla-Firefox add-on "Echofon" … every time when I hear the "pling-sound" that a new message comes in, I hurry up to my computer to read the posting from FirePips … but again and again I can read all of our conversations here :(

I would prefer a "clean Twitter-feed" only with actual-trading-related postings by FirePips

just my 2 Pips from here …
    , Radi0man
