Forex Signals 3rd Feb

Free Forex SignalsI’ve been receiving a lot of questions based around how to interpret signals and I do realize that current format is not most ideal. Hence looking for feedback and suggestions on how we can improve Forex Signal Service. The sooner we get it right the better for everyone.

Regarding market, it has been sluggish. Not so surprising though, I’ve seen several times when market is like that on Mon and Tues, then it picks up from Wed onwards.  On the other hand if market moves a lot on Mon and Tues then it slows downs for the rest of the week. Its just my observation over the years and not based on any study.

Would be more useful if times were in gmt for international.

  2. FirePips 3 February 2010 at 5:10 pm #

Yeah, You are right. GMT time would be better.

  3. Nigel 3 February 2010 at 6:36 pm #

Just to add, ask your broker if you can have a CET platform. If you have a GMT platform you’re out of synch with the main european players in the market.

  4. felix 3 February 2010 at 6:40 pm #

you are doing a good job. keep it up. god will reward you abundantly

  5. FirePips 3 February 2010 at 7:23 pm #

    Hi Nigel,

When I said change the time, I meant change time on the updates. Signals would still be send out at the same time as before. Perhaps writing time in GMT would help people to convert in their own local time easily.

  6. marcus 3 February 2010 at 8:48 pm #

The time used, which is the EST, is just perfect for everyone. Please do not changed to GMT, as there are many variations to this internationally. Keep up the good work. You will be blessed for ever for your generosity and hard work. Many thanks

  7. jandozv8 3 February 2010 at 9:33 pm #

Hi all specially firepips hi.you make good job and i trade similar like you and everytime i check what you trade. Secondly what a take about that time GMT you can keep in est cause gmt is – 5 hours so everybody can know that for example 5pm est is 22 gmt or 10pm or that 9pm is 2 gmt or 2am gmt i am in gmt + 1 so i know that if you send signals on 5pm 9pm 1am 5am my times is 23 3 7 11 so for me now problem or if traders subsribe for you service just chcek emails on that time on email evertime just 3 minutes delay after your hour so :-) nice

  8. SSS 3 February 2010 at 9:36 pm #

hi, no need to change ur update times, just include GMT times to updates would be mostly appreciated over here!

  9. FirePips 3 February 2010 at 9:37 pm #

Apart from time…what about the format ?

    “Order ID: 12 | Update| $CADJPY Buy 85.40 | Move Stop Loss to 85.20″

Do you guys think it is easy to understand? and How can we improve it??

  10. SSS 3 February 2010 at 9:40 pm #

jandozv8 – is GMT +5 hours basically? ie:

    Update at 1AM EST / 0800 Hour Candle: = 6am GMT

    Update at 5AM EST / 1200 Hour Candle: = 10am GMT

    so todays last update:

    Update at 9AM EST / 1600 Hour Candle: = 1400 GMT?

  11. Nigel 3 February 2010 at 9:48 pm #

    Yes I think that’s right.

Firepips – last update I presume you mean 12.00pm CET candle?

  12. jandozv8 3 February 2010 at 9:53 pm #

yes when is in usa winter time if is – 5 yes when daylight time anyway summer is GMT – 4 that mean that if i am in time gmt + 1 in winter result is +6hours in summer +5 i don t know what time you are. and times which you wrote here thats correct.but anyway firepips wrote good that – without time or can be : FOR EXAMPLE
    5AM EST/10AM GMT Order ID: 12 | Update| $CADJPY Buy 85.40 | Move Stop Loss to 85.20″
    jus tmy opinion

  13. paul99 3 February 2010 at 10:00 pm #

why not just write both times? much easier for all then.

  14. jandozv8 3 February 2010 at 10:14 pm #

yes thats can be fine for all

  15. SSS 3 February 2010 at 10:53 pm #

ok, this strategy in use, it’s based on 4hrly and price (Price OSc)? nothing else???

  20. FirePips 4 February 2010 at 1:13 am #

@ Paul @jandozv, I agree. Lets put both timezone. I’ll start it from next week.

  21. FirePips 4 February 2010 at 1:15 am #

@SSS, That’s it my friend. Nothing else !

@Alexis, No problem. Let me know if you don’t receive emails.

@Sheetal, Good to hear from you. Namaste !

  22. SSS 4 February 2010 at 1:22 am #

well what a strategy lol! the price indicator i have available is:

    Price Osc % 5,25 – sound right?

am new to Forex (3months) and have stratregy of my own, which is based on 4hr also. but have now added price Osc and will test it out from now on. do u have an email address?

  23. FirePips 4 February 2010 at 1:28 am #

    Hi SSS,

I think I understood wrong. No Oscillator for me…just price action on 4 hr charts.

  24. Dave 4 February 2010 at 1:35 am #

I think the est. time is great changing it would make it confusing.

  25. Nigel 4 February 2010 at 2:29 am #

I’ve got EURUSD and GBPUSD as sells now?

GBPJPY turning south as well shortly?

  26. Nigel 4 February 2010 at 3:02 am #

Oops sorry! looking at GBPJPY again and taking a 38.2% fib retracement (143.84) of the upmove from 143.03 – could be a move up to around 145.70 on the cards?

  27. Murugaes 4 February 2010 at 3:08 am #

hi guys… its just my opinion sorry if it hurts you.. since firepips giving us cool signal with his hardwork and effort..

why dont we put some effort and simple work for ourself …

i think its just simple if you guys convert the EST time to your country/location… for once and save it in notepad

thank you and sorry if my opinion is harsh

  28. Marko 4 February 2010 at 4:49 am #

This may be off subject…but I’m curious if there are archives that help with understanding your system, as noted in your FAQ’s…I’m very impressed with the performance and would like to understand the system for myself…no offense, but if you weren’t able to continue giving signals, we would be lost…cheers to what looks like a great strategy…

  29. okey 4 February 2010 at 5:12 am #

what i did about this time issue is i bought a blackberry and downloaded twitter i set it to ring or vibrate when ever i receive a tweet or email from firepips, although i knew that every 4 hours from 5pm est signals are sent.i think this is the best way if u dont wanna miss any signal and updates

  30. Nigel 4 February 2010 at 5:30 am #

PLEASE DO NOT change the time! Most european broker MT4 platforms work on CET and your signals are perfect for us. Also have people noticed (especially during the London/New York sessions) how many times the price reverses exactly at the time of the 8.00am/12.00pm/4.00pm four hour candles? Why? Well because most of the BIG players are using CET platforms!!

  31. richard 4 February 2010 at 7:18 am #

Hi, just started looking at these signals which look good so thanks. can i just check, i thought signals were 4 hourly but on twitter they are 2 hourly

  32. Diet Pipsi 4 February 2010 at 8:12 am #

“Apart from time…what about the format ?

    “Order ID: 12 | Update| $CADJPY Buy 85.40 | Move Stop Loss to 85.20″

Do you guys think it is easy to understand? and How can we improve it??”

As to time, you must be posting in EST for some reason, and we don’t need to know the reason. I am in Pacific time, so I just know that when you post 5pm EST that’s 2pm for me, and I know to go check my email at 2:03pm. And then again every 4 hours. There’s nothing broken about that, you don’t need to do anything different from that IMO.

As to format. I notice in the emails that line spacing is not consistent, where maybe you miss hitting your key sometimes. And yet I’ve been only getting your signals for the last 16 hours (4 emails, each with the next 4-hr signals) and it is incredibly easy to follow. I think a grid might keep the alignment lined up better, but what you give in each update is all of the information necessary.

I will look if I can find an easy way to put a grid in emails that a line can be added with a touch of your tab key, and a line can be deleted off the top as the older trades close. Something that doesn’t make it HARDER for YOU to go thru. I’ll email you with anything I can find.

Other than that, maybe asking you to watch carefully that you hit your key correctly so the line spacing stays correct, I don’t think there is anything wrong with your format.

  33. Diet Pipsi 4 February 2010 at 8:15 am #

When I said “hitting your key” I had put in a symbol for the “Enter” key. It did not like the symbol! Where it says hitting your key, I meant hitting your “Enter” key.

  34. FirePips 4 February 2010 at 9:41 am #

@Dave @Murugaes, I think it won’t hurt if I include both times EST and GMT.

  35. FirePips 4 February 2010 at 9:41 am #

@Nigel, Too late to comment now but I don’t look at Fibs for trade confirmation or profit taking.

  36. FirePips 4 February 2010 at 9:41 am #

@Marko, Most information is spread out over blog, Facebook and Twitter.

  37. FirePips 4 February 2010 at 9:41 am #

@okey, Good stuff mate, I am blackberry fan as well.

  38. FirePips 4 February 2010 at 9:42 am #

@richard, You are right Signals are every 4 hours but I’ve set up Hootsuite to send tweets at regular intervals containing important links.

  39. FirePips 4 February 2010 at 9:50 am #

@Diet Pipsi, great suggestions there. I think people in countries where they only have one timezone may not be as accustomed to timzeone differences as compared to people in countries with multiple timezones. For the first timers it could be hard to get their head around it.

Regarding spacing in the emails, I type it separately in MS One Note and then copy to email, Twitter and FB. I think the idea of grid / table is good. In that case I’ll have to change the format from “text” to “HTML”. Wonder if that’s going to cause more issues :)

  40. okey 4 February 2010 at 10:11 am #

one thang i can suggest is this, when u update ongoing trade and advise we move sl to -25 or whatever, for the sake of uniformity and spreads can u instead of saying move SL to -25 say move SL to 140.20. thanks

  41. FirePips 4 February 2010 at 10:16 am #

    Hi Okey,

It can be done, but every small thing adds up. Remember that I also trade live on my own accounts and there is lot more that goes on every 4 hr that you may perceive. Having said that, I’ll still look into it.

  42. JP 4 February 2010 at 11:06 am #

I wonder how you manage to do as much already.
    great work
    thanks

    hope you don’t tire ;)

  43. perrie 4 February 2010 at 3:04 pm #

Wow, all the time-zone stuff, glad i don’t live/work in Russia ! – I’m at GMT+10, I prefer to work in GMT, as both GMT and EST are going to be included that’s great by me. (and there is only 1 GMT – similar are UTC AT et al) – i also work with Sidereal time – and that changes about 3m 56s every day 1 sidereal day = 23h 56m 4.09056seconds as of Jan 1 1900 (but even that changes with the years as the earth slows down). Then there’s anomalistic, synodic…….

As to the format of the email, i think formatting is the biggest hiccough, The use of the “elert” gadget might be worth considering, it could deliver near instantaneous info to the desktop, like when to cancel the O in OCO, when to adjust stops – especially between 4hr trades or when tp’s are hit. – just a thought

  44. FirePips 4 February 2010 at 8:57 pm #

@Perrie, Elert looks good. Let me play around with it before we make it official

  45. Mils 5 February 2010 at 4:25 pm #

Great PIPS made this week, what great sessions we have had. Thank you for sharing your work with us.

  46. PP 7 February 2010 at 3:29 am #

firstly thnx to the firepips…..for helping everyone,
regarding format i would like to say that…..u can try to give signals in other format……
    like for eg: EURUSD : 1.3677, S/L:1.3687, T/P: 1.3667

i.e buy/sell value for the pair, stoploss value and take profit value. it will be easier to understand for newbies. anyways this is just a suggestion, u can also try some other, more easier method…….
thnx and keep up the good work.
