Here are we again, start of a new week. I want to remind you that NFP is due this week plus we are also approaching end of the month. From experience, we would see moves early in the week and perhaps calmer market towards the end. But you never know
This week I’ll further increase my % risk on EURUSD and EURJPY and while reducing risk on other pairs. These two pairs have consistently performed better and it only make sense to give them more weight.

Jan, kontak my by equity.explosion.1aapstert gmail.com
hey jan, ek het hulle nou net begin volg n friend gebreuk hulle al vir 3 maande.
I made a little profit from EUR/JPY. Thanks!
Hi im looking for some advice on placing orders if any one could help:
If i get a signal buy @whatever – stop loss 100 take profit 40 – 80 – 120
is it possible for me to place three orders limiting at 40, then at another 40 (80)
and another 40 (120) to lock in my pips on the way i realise that i would loose the
spread but as i cant always get to my pc so could miss out? If i do it this way
i think it should work but just wanted another opinion?? I feel that loosing the spread
2 – 3 points on my platform would be worth having security when i cant get to my pc?
Thanks Graham
Hey Graham – hopefully someone more knowledgeable will chime in here but I think this would be best asked to your broker; they should be able to guide you on exactly the best method of you entering orders like this and if they support it.
Alternately, if you use an mt4 platform, you might want to look at the excellent EA created by Diet Pipsi under the Downloads section: http://forex.firepips.com/forex-expert-advisor-do…
It is very well documented and includes some logic to limit your losses should your PC turn off/lose connection etc. It also does all the ordering automagically for each portion of the trade. However, you would need to test this on your particular broker/metatrader install (i.e. DEMO ACCOUNT) first. The comments section of the Download for the EA discusses some brokers it has been used with.
BUT – FirePips is releasing a new EA that may even better solve your issue!! So you can wait for it, or go ahead and get to know Diet Pipsi's EA as a primer.
Hope this helps!
Hi Graham – What Kerst said, of course!
Depending on your broker and platform and how you place the entry orders, you may be able to place three limit orders to exit at each of the three profit targets.
It seems that GFT for example used to have an OCO entry, so you could put in the entry signal and whichever one hit, it would automatically cancel the other. I do not recall if they would allow three separate exits on a single position or not, but you could always enter three separate orders, each for only 1lot (or 1unit size).
MBTrading does not offer an OCO entry, so you must put in either the buystop or the sellstop, and watch to see which one price is closer to until it hits. But once you are in the trade, with their Navigator platform, you can enter three different limit orders to exit, each for 1/3 of the position at each of the three prices.
So you see, different brokers, different platforms, each have different ways you can and cannot enter orders.
And again, what Kerst said about my EA and about FP's upcoming new EA.
You will NOT lose the spread, because you buy at the ask, and sell at the bid. If you have a 4-pip spread, let's say, then price must move 44 pips to hit your 40-pip target. The spread is already taken care of by the time it hits your target.
What CAN happen is price may move say 42 pips, enough to hit FP's target if he only has a 1pip or a 2pip spread, and then still miss hitting your target. Or if your spread is larger than FPs, it makes sense to target a few pips less. Here's a few examples:
Therefore, according to the FAQ, if you are using an ECN broker with spreads as good as he is getting, then use the stops and targets he posts. In fact, on my ECN broker, I always give an extra pip for stoploss, and 1 less pip for targets, just to account for differnet prices on different platforms.
If you are using a MM broker, and your spreads are larger than the ones FP is getting, then you should adjust your targets and stops accordingly. When I trade on one of my MM brokers, I allow 5 extra pips for stop on GBPJPY for example, because FP will have a spread of about 4, and I will have a spread of about 7 or 8. So for GBPJPY, on my MM broker, I will use 5 pips more on the stop, and 5 pips less on each target. What you lose in a few pips you save most of in commissions anyway.
Hopefully helpful – -
Actually this was very helpful to me DP! Good examples helped firm up what I have been doing with my spread for my MM broker. Thanks!

Oh, glad it helped!
Great service fire pips. Been watching your blog since it started. Signal delivery has become very speedy through email. Twitter is still the fastest though. I appreciate your dedication and hard work. Keep it up fire pips!
bad signals
Not all trades are winner my friend.
why you delete my post?
Not sure what comment you are referring to. Did you post more than 2 comments ?
firepips have a bad habit of deleting post. It's like China in here. Google left China and I will leave this blog.
Don, you are welcome to check moderation queue on Intensedebate ( the commenting plugin I use ).
The only comments I delete here are the ones containing marketing promotion and spam, and for reason they are on the rise lately.
Thanks for clearing this. I don't know about IP address but I know there was a business named globalfxsignal.com or something keep posting here which I guess you deleted. That's fine but I saw some peoples posting also get deleted when they become your critics. You need to accept criticism. This will help you do better.
Profit and loss is the part of the trading.
It sounds like it was an IP address issue, but if you're still encountering issues please feel free to send me details at support@intensedebate.com and I'll take a look.
Hello FirePips:
The Best free signals forex around internet. I following you for two weeks. Fantastic Work!!!
Greetings from Uruguay
Dear Firepips and other members,
I noticed that on Daily chart of Eurjpy, it is forming an Inverter Head and Shoulder with the neckline around 125.25 (Interbankfx's platform), and the Bottom of the Head is at 119.70.
So, a Daily close and clear breakout above 125.25 will bring Eurjpy up to around 130.00 level as final target of Inverted Head and Shoulder.
So, while we can take Swing trade, but still keep a LONG TRADE of Eurjpy when it breaks 125.25 level decisively.
Hope to share some of my ideas to all of you.
By the way, I noticed that the first target of Firepips is easily achieved, and second target is often achieved, while the third target is achieved sometimes only.
So, why don't we focus on closing out all orders at second target, or reduce the pip profit of third target down to 180 pips(instead of 210 pips)?
I noticed that many times, prices came to around 30 pips far away from the third target. So, if we can reduce third target down for 30 pips, maybe, we can achieve all 3 profit targets most of the times.
Please comment if you have any other ideas or suggestions.
Thanks and regards,
James
Hi James,
Regarding profit targets, if you only look at EURJPY and EURUSD stats I published earlier, they clearly shows that pips made by 3 Profit Target exceeded other targets. Though overall it is not the case with other pairs.
Reducing third Profit Target by 30 pips may not work for all pairs, we may have to find a more optimal number for each pair. This would require more thorough testing.
There are several options that I can considering right now and I'm happy to look at this one as well, though not sure how long it will take me to come back with result.
Hello to everybody
It is easy to say “bad signals”. Sometimes one has to invest his own effort to get the profit out of them. IMO it is not done with only sit on the chair, set up the trades and left the work do the others. I made several nice live profits out of this signals, which I haden’t done without them! So I am thankful to get them allways in time! If one of the critics is able to do it better than firepips, I wonder why he don’t trade his own analysis and offer them as FREE signals?
Ah, because the own trading allways made losses? Because it is too much work to offer such a Service? Because you think you wouldn’t profit, if you would send signals for free?
Go on Firepips! Never saw such a nice Service before… no matter if it was charged for or not…
I hope Euro-USD not more than -30 pips now
, phcycology burn my plan …
2 days following your signals…. loose everything … bad bad bad— one day it is OK, but 2
@fgironella… the only thing you say is “bad”… “bad bad bad”… what would you do better? Do you have the skills to make it better? This signals are free and its up to you, to follow them or not! So if you are able to make constructive critics, do so… of not, *******
Firepips offer a Service for free and this Service is ways better than a lot who charge for the Signals… please stay away with such comments… there are people out there, like me, who well appreciate what Firepips does… such comments could make him thinking about what he is doing for all of us and shut the Signal Service. If you dont like the Signals, dont trade them!
I appreciate Firepip signals also! I've come to trust them over my paid signal service. If their signals involve the same pair and conflict, I go with Firepips which so far, has been the more profitable choice, ifyaknowwhatimean. The signals do seem to start out shaky sometimes, but THIS time, for some reason I can't explain, I disregarded the S/L for the GBP/JPY and EUR/JPY. So I'm glad I held on because now they're doing great. Ha ha, not saying I'll be practicing that often but, this time it worked out. THANKS so much Firepips!! I. for one. think the signals are good good good all together.
Thanks guys…appreciate your comments
CHFJPY triggered here …Alpari with 4pips spread
CHFJPY Hit also on igindex, they reckon by 8755.7 is the high, sigh time to go investigate.

Thanks for letting me know. I'll update you on this trade as we go along. So far there is no change.
I've been filled on the chf/JPY and it's a complete desaster for me today as yesterday since the EA filled eur JPY at 125.4.
I been hit by SL all day long. eur/USD etc…
Happilly GBP JPY did well and made some pips.
I'm happy to have you guys, but I hope tomorrow will be better ! just to gain the lost pips we had today and yesterday !
Hello I'm Carlo from Florence, Italy. I would like to thank FirePips for the amazing blog and the smooth signals.
I also want to thank DietPipsi for the EA, but after some days of nice work.. now it opens the trade and it closes it after a few seconds. I read somewhere that someone said the same thing.. so it happens to me too!… I tried to close and open the charts, remove and attach the EA… all the tests.. but today it has done the same exact thing: it opened the trade and immediately closed it….It was so nice to write the values and then the EA did all the work….. I'm not new in using EAs, so I don't think I did something wrong… also the EA has begun not to work after a few days of nice and smooth good work…. so I really do not know why it doesn't work anymore. The only thing I could try is to remove the EA from the folder and download it again…
Thank you.
Carlo
Hello, Greetings from Mexico!
Is anyone trading with Interactive Brokers? I was wondering if someone could help me about placing OCO orders in that platform…
Thanks in advance! and specially thanks to FirePips and the contributors for all the great work!
Not sure about IB. Have your tried contacting their support yet?
Once you know how to do it can you share with us ?
Of course, I'll let you know what I figure out…
You can also use an EA if on MT4 platform to place the orders for you. DP has one under the downloads and I have a modified one which will work on 5-digit brokers.
Thanks,
MPetersrx7
Hi Hector
I have the solution for setting OCO orders at IB plattform, too complex for publishing here. Please, send me a mp to tomhagen456@gmail.com
i think its called 'OCA' for IB, check on their site, under trading section there is a sub menu known as Order types and Algos, you can read about OCA over there.
Me too FXCM activated CHF / JPY 3 pips failing to meet the entry order!
when is firepips e.a coming out?
Soon my friend…hang in there
bad week for me. I'm down 708 pips
same for me dude … 700 pips
Have you missed some of the good trades? It does happen, and it does suck. But if you miss some trades, sooner or later you will miss some of the losers as well. Small consolation, I know.
Closed out on trade 13 EURUSD @1.34645, the price was already that level when the update of 10AM GMT 1200 candle suggested to move stoploss to 1.3460, so I closed manually…
Order ID 12 already reached first target at 1.2570 at this very moment….
First profit target on CHF/JPY hit
second target hit
Nice work Firepips. Keep it up!
Alot of effort has been put into your service. We do appreciate.

Hi,
quick question about your performance…year to date you are up somewhere between 4-5% and you risk no more than 1% per trade and no more than 3% at any given time, is that more or less correct?
Thanks
Where is the track record for this past week? Is it possible to have the track record on one static page rather then hunt for a new link each week?
Hi Jimme –
The chart of the current week's totals is always on the current blog page for that week. For this past week, it is right above, showing -305 as the week's total.
